Think JSON, except binary. Or think of Google's Protocol Buffers 7 (http://protobuf.googlecode.com), except faster. See the above link for 15 detailed requirements. 16 17 To build and install (from a release package), simply do: 18 ./configure 19 make -j4 check 20 sudo make install 21 22 The -j4 allows the build to use up to four processor cores instead of one. 23 You can increase this number if you have more cores. Specifying "check" 24 says to run tests in addition to building. This can be omitted to make the 25 build slightly faster, but running tests and reporting failures back to the 26 developers helps us out! 27
